About Joyce Spencer

Joyce Spencer I am pretty much a self taught painter. I took some lessons a few years ago when I started spending summers in the mountains of North Carolina. I started with oil and more recently have discovered that I love the look of pastels. Especially since my passion is to paint animals, all kinds-domestic, farm, wild! My work is displayed and sold at Fox Hollow in downtown Brevard, North CarolinaI. I still take some classes and attend occasional local workshops. I consider myself still a beginner in the painting world but really enjoy the process and love to see the finished project. I am a retired nurse and my other passion is visiting nursing homes and schools with my therapy dog, Regan.
